Return of the Wanderer
So I am back after a very long break during which I have mostly been working. But I have recently discovered Vinted which I absolutely love and, as usual or as was usual, I am inspired to write about the interesting and curious things that I have discovered when looking for items to sell.
At the moment I am very curious about this knitting pattern, I think that it is from the 1930s possibly the 1920s and the model looks very much like Leslie Howard, a lot of actors then made a little extra money from modelling, I have a Stitchcraft magazine with a young Roger Moore on the cover.
I'm really looking forward to June this year. This is our Constance Spry rose blooming last year. I think that it was on the one day when it was summer. We have planted more roses this year and will have a gardenful by June. One of my favourite roses is the Albertine, I got the idea for that rose from my Miss Read books, she often refers to her Albertine rose. It only flowers once a year but when it does, it is spectacular
And this is the latest addition to our little family. She came as one of a bonded pair but her tabby brother just disappeared one day. We searched for him but he was never found. But this is Freya and she is a very tenacious and cheeky little tortie.
I will write again soon, hopefully sooner than I did last time. I have a load of new interests these days and hope to write about them all
