So Happy Mothers Day to all mums and those who would have loved to have been mums.
I live in The Sticks in Dorset, a proper, rural working village. I love knitting, needlepoint and all types of needlework. I bake brilliant bread and generally love being in my kitchen. I read endlessly and enjoy writing too I am also a collector of embroidered linen and vintage items. I would love to share my interests with you

In my Kitchen....
Sticky toffee cupcakes with caramel icing.
You see I had this idea, I made the cupcakes and thought that I would buy some caramel sweets, melt them and ice the cakes with them. Easy I'm thinking, except that Caramel sweets apparently don't exist in England.
Did I imagine them? Dream them up?
In the end I made my own caramel icing from scratch and the cakes are delicious
