Old Fashioned Rose

Even though it is only late January, today feels soft and springlike. Like nature's promise of what was to come. I went for a long walk across the watermeadows with my lovely Border Collie. Much as I searched, no tangible signs of Spring were to be found except for one lonely buttercup.
But walking with the sun shining down and an almost warm breeze on my back was wonderful.

The search for Spring was fruitless so we played frisbee instead

When I got  home I decided to bake some Spring, well it turned into early Summer. Rose cakes baked using rosewater bought from a Lebanese shop in London

I got this antique Coalport cake stand at the village jumble sale for 20p!

To go along with the pink soft spring theme, I found this wonderful Poole shell, it is for sale in my Etsy shop but I don't know how I will part with it , so beautiful

Yes a lovely day, I too have been walking my dog! Keep the shell for a while, enjoy then pass it on.
